Aid stations

Find in this article everything about the race aid stations.

The performance is strongly affected by our alimentation. That is why each aid stations of the Monaco Ironman 70.3 have been supervised in their composition by 4Vita (health and environment quality label) and WTS, the n°1 coaching company.

Bike aid stations

The 90 Km of the Bike circuit offer 4 aid stations. Each of them propose products corresponding at your body at the different moment of the race.

Aid station 1 (Km 18) et aid station 2 (Km 46)

Solids (bananas and bars) in order to gain enough nutrition for the end of the race. The cooler morning hours and the body's hydration state at this point of the race should permit an effective simulation of the solids.

Aid station 3 (Km 67)

No bars in order to avoid GI (gastro intestinal) shutdown on the climb towards Laghet. Simple sugars (gels and cola) are recommended in order to complete the last obstacle in the best conditions.

Aid station 4 (Km 76)

Before the last descent, it is sensible to take in solid nutrition for a last time. Even more so if the weather forecast is bad.

Run aid stations

Two aid stations will be present on the 21 Km of the Run circuit. The distance between the both aid stations is 2,1 Km. Each athlete will make 10 passages in front of aid stations.

No solids to avoid digestive disorders. Cola 1/2 aid station only to avoid the overconsumption and second effects.
