RUN 21.1km

Running takes you on 4 and a half loops through Monaco of approximately 4.6km, including the famous Tunnel known from Formula 1.

Did you know that the slowest bend in Formula 1 is the fastest bend in Triathlon? Come to Monaco and run it yourself!

Having done this coastal loop four times, you will find yourself running up the Avenue d’Ostende to the most exclusive Finishline on Avenue de Monte Carlo.

You start directly on the avenue Princesse Grâce (1st aidstation), then Tunnel, boulevard Louis II, Avenue President Kennedy, Quai Albert Ier, bend of the "Rascasse" (2nd aidstation), boulevard Albert Ier, bend of "Sainte Devote", avenue d'Ostende. Run up the avenue d'Ostende to the avenue de Monte Carlo in parallel of the FinishLine. After the Finish Line area, run to the right and downhill to the the garden of the opera (wristbands) and join the gardens of the casino.

Run down the gardens to join the avenue des Spélugues just before the bend of Fairmont Hotel. Run the fastest bend in triathlon! Towards the "Portier" roundabout and avenue Princess Grâce where you cross the fellow athletes on their way back. Do the U-turn at the "Rose des Vents" area, and start the next loop!

You have to run this course 4 and a half times, and you will pass next to the Finishline during every loop! The Finishline is situated on the Avenue de Monte Carlo, next to the Casino.

Keep in mind!

  • 4,5 loops (4 full loops + 1 half ending avenue of Monte Carlo for the Finisline), 1 full loop = 4,6km
    The last half loop = 2,7km
  • 2 aid-stations | 10 passages
    Distance between aid-station 1 and 2 = 2.1km 
  • 4 "chouchous" : This is the total amount of wristbands you will need to cross the Finishline. You will be given one wristband after each completed loop. "Chouchous" (wristbands) will be handed out in the Casino area.
